Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari has inaugurated its first ever dealership in Mumbai. The dealership is held by Navnit Motors who also has dealerships of other brands like Rolls-Royce, BMW and Jaguar Land Rover. The dealership is located at G2, Platina, Bandra Kurla Complex and boasts of a 4000 sq.ft area. The entire showroom area is very well laid out and the dealership is segregated into various parts like the car display area, sitting lounge and customisation section.

The showroom has a capacity to display three cars while the customisation area has a number of steering wheels, alloys, brake discs, seats, etc. kept on display for customers to view. There is also a wall which shows the different exterior colours that are offered on the Ferrari car. The different types of upholstery options and colours are also showcased. The company had put the gorgeous California T and a beautiful F12 Berlinetta on display. They also delivered a brand new California T to one of their customers. In the last few years, we are constantly seeing more and more luxury brands setting up their dealerships in Mumbai. After Lamborghini, we have witnessed Porsche, Ferrari and Maserati entering the Indian market too so it really seems that buyers of sports cars are going to have a gala time being spoilt for choice.

Ferrari will be selling all its models including the California T, 488 GTB Coupe, 458 Spider, 458 Speciale and F12 Berlinetta with prices ranging from Rs. 3.30 crores to Rs. 4.72 crores (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

Pirelli Tyres Will Be Available Through CEAT Dealerships In India

Pirelli Formula One Tires

Pirelli will be retailing its premium motorcycle tyre range via select CEAT dealerships across the country starting from the first week of December.

Pirelli Ceat Tyres India

Pirelli has an illustrious motorsport history being the tyre supplier for WSBK

In a strategic move, tyre manufacturer Pirelli has entered in a joint venture with CEAT for the distribution of its global range of premium motorcycle tyres in the Indian market. The Italian company will be utilising CEAT’s vast distribution and dealer network across the country to retail its expensive range of tyres as larger capacity motorcycles find more homes here.

With premium motorcycle sales gaining ground in the Indian market, the move comes in order to reach out to the growing premium motorcycle customer base. It is believed that performance two-wheeler sales will increase in India by 16 percent over the next five years and the growing market is opening room for more products and accessories. Incidentally, a host of Italian motorcycle manufacturers made their way to India this year including Ducati, Benelli and more recently MV Agusta.

The partnership will also open new avenues for both companies as CEAT will be able to cater to the premium motorcycle segment with Pirelli’s offerings while the latter gets a more established distribution channel. The company further stated that the entire range of tyres will be available from the first week of December at select CEAT dealerships. However, a detailed list of tyres and select dealerships providing the same is yet to be made available.

A quick reminder on Pirelli’s history, the tyre maker was founded in 1872 and has been one of the major players globally in providing advanced rubber for road and motorsport duties. The company has had a long association on the track with Formula 1, for which Pirelli is the exclusive tyre supplier since 2011 and Superbike World Championship, where the manufacturer has been the sole tyre supplier since 2004.

Adobe is Finally Killing FLASH, but not actually.

Adobe Flash made the Internet a better place with slick graphics, animation, games and applications, but it never stood a chance of surviving in the same world as HTML5.

Of course, Flash has plagued with various stability and security issues, which is why developers had hated the technology for years.

So, now it’s time to say GoodBye

2016 KTM RC 390 Spotted In India For The First Time

2016 KTM RC 390 India Spy Shot

The 2016 KTM RC 390 gets a host of upgrades including a slipper clutch and Ride by Wire and will see a marginal hike in prices in the Indian market.

2016 KTM RC 390 India Spy Shot

The 2016 RC 390 is expected to be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo

The 2015 EICMA Motorcycle Show was quite a treat for KTM fans as a host of new models made their debut while upgrades were announced for the existing range. One of the most significant upgrades made it to the 2016 KTM RC 390 that is now loaded on new and sophisticated equipment improving its appeal even further. Expected to make its Indian debut at the 2016 Auto Expo, the fully faired motorcycle was recently spotted in India for the first time near the company’s Chakan based facility.

Talking about the upgrades, the 2016 KTM RC 390 gets a slipper clutch (already available on the Duke 390), followed by Ride By Wire (RbW) for smoother acceleration and improved fuel economy and a larger 320 mm front disc brake for better stopping power. Further, the bike gets an adjustable front brake and clutch lever, and a new side-mounted aluminium exhaust muffler replacing the underbelly unit that complies with Euro 4 emission norms. The latter is not susceptible to scraping either during hard cornering or uneven roads that were seen on the underbelly unit.

Lastly, KTM has upgraded to larger rearview mirrors on the 2016 RC 390 that offer better visibility and are not just showpieces like the outgoing ones. In terms of powertrain, the motorcycle gets no changes with power coming from the same 373.2cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine tuned to churn out 43.5 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The WP USD forks at the front and a monoshock setup at the rear continue on the bike with no changes.

In addition to the upgrades on the 2016 edition, also expect to see a price revision on the 2016 KTM RC 390. Prices for the current range start at Rs. 2.10 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and could witness a marginal increase in numbers of around Rs. 10-15,000/- justified by the new equipment. With the host of upgrades and really sophisticated hardware on offer, the RC 390 turns out to be one of the more sought after performance offerings on sale in the country.

EPX Body

EPXBody screenshot

The road to earning “$1000 a month guaranteed” as an EPX Body distributor is a long and winding one indeed. And in the end, distributors pitching supplements for this Utah-based MLM business may only get back what money they spent on products — and that’s only if they do everything EPX Body demands — and not earn much income at all.

According to the guarantee’s qualifying terms, distributors must enroll within the first 30 days at least four people with a 30CV or higher (We assume CV means commissionable volume; EPX Body doesn’t define the acronym). Distributors must then maintain business with at least four of these folks for six months, all while themselves ordering at least 30CV every month over the same six-month period. Says the terms:

If you meet these qualification (sic) and you are not earning at least $1,000 per month in commissions, you have the option to return any unused product and sell your position back to the Company for $240. This is the equivalent of a full refund for 6 months’ worth of orders. We only refund up to $40 per month.

So distributors may recoup money spent on some unused products — but only after six months. And who knows if the $240 — a mere quarter of the purported guaranteed monthly earnings — will cover all expenses incurred on the job. We’re guessing it won’t. (As a general rule, when you have to pay to get paid, you may be entangled in a questionable MLM.) Furthermore, the refund request must be made via snail mail to EPX Body in Utah.

‘Ideal projections … are unrealistic,’ says company

EPX Body also claims on its homepage that distributors can “earn a 5 figure residual income.” But such an income claim may constitute what the company itself calls an “unrealistic” expectation of earnings. The EPX Body distributor policy states in part (emphasis added):

I will make no income claims or representations regarding the Company Compensation Plan, remembering that ideal projections of the Company Compensation Plan are unrealistic.

What’s a realistic projection of what you might earn as an EPX Body distributor? With no income disclosure statement indicating what percentage of affiliates actually make money, your guess is as good as ours.

Oh, and if you’re wondering about the claim that EPX Body pays people “up to $10 per pound to lose weight” using their products (see screenshot at the top of this ad alert) — you only reach that rate if you shed 50 pounds or more. Lose fewer than 20 pounds, and all you’re going home with is this T-shirt.
